Kaitlyn Sisk’s Journey Through T5 Data Centers’ Programs

At T5 Data Centers, we are dedicated to fostering talent and providing growth opportunities for all our team members. Today, we are excited to share the inspiring journey of Kaitlyn Sisk, whose dedication and performance exemplify our core values. 

Kaitlyn’s professional journey was unique from the start. Her first career was in dental assisting, but she had a passion for networking and cybersecurity, so she went back to school with plans to become a Network Engineer. Her cybersecurity professor at Cleveland Community College invited her for a tour of T5 Data Centers, thinking she would enjoy seeing the mission-critical side of the industry. He was right—when Kaitlyn took the first tour, she knew she wanted to work for T5. 

During the tour, Kaitlyn asked numerous questions, and Tom Gormley, the Critical Facility Manager, answered all of them with enthusiasm and pride for the facility. Kaitlyn was impressed by the facility and the positivity the team exuberated. The mission critical environment intrigued her, as she thrives under pressure, and the thought of being responsible for the entire facility solidified her desire to become a T5 employee.   

Recognizing her potential, Mary Pham, HR Business Partner, created our Work-Based Learning (WBL) program, with Kaitlyn being the first to join.  Kaitlyn’s determination, drive and grit contributed to her exceptional performance in the WBL program, which led her to graduate to our Junior Critical Facilities Technician (CFT) program. As a young woman in a male dominated industry, she exemplifies success attainable with the opportunities available. This program aims to create opportunities for younger talent who typically wouldn’t join the data center industry. Through this program, we provide opportunities to a diverse set of students, including women who are often underrepresented in these positions. 

Kaitlyn’s dedication and outstanding performance in the Junior CFT program did not go unnoticed. She was fast-tracked and quickly promoted to Critical Facilities Technician (CFT). This accelerated advancement is a testament to her hard work, talent, and the supportive environment at T5 Data Centers. 

As Kaitlyn excels as a CFT, we are excited to see her future contributions and achievements. Her journey reflects the opportunities available at T5 Data Centers for those who are passionate, dedicated, and eager to grow. Kaitlyn is a shining example of what can be achieved with determination and proper support.
