T5 Celebrates Women’s History Month and the Women Who Keep our Customers Forever On.

March is Women’s History Month and T5 is taking this opportunity to honor all of the women who make an impact every day, especially those in tech and telecom. Many strides have been made in recent years to increase the representation of women in technology industries. More than ever, women today have access to and are pursuing careers in digital infrastructure. But there is more to be done.

Organizations such as the data center and mission-critical focused 7X24 Exchange and WiMCO, Women in Mission Critical Operations foster many STEM initiatives, mentoring programs, and thought leadership opportunities, along with engagement and participation of women in the digital infrastructure industry. Organizations like these help promote mission-critical opportunities for women, providing leadership opportunities through individual communities, and developing and supporting STEM initiatives, curriculums, scholarships, and programs. Another 7×24 initiative is International Data Center Day, which is dedicated to introducing young people to the digital infrastructure field and inspiring them, especially young women, to consider career paths in digital infrastructure.

T5@Charlotte’s Tancy Dean, Critical Facilities Technician and Erica Chariker, Critical Facilities Junior Technician are both members of WiMCO and their contributions are setting examples of innovation and progress for the future of our industry.

Throughout history, women have made significant contributions to the world of technology and are paving the way for future generations, serving as role models and inspiration for young women who are interested in pursuing careers in STEM fields.

Please join us in celebrating all the women who tell their stories throughout the digital infrastructure landscape and make a difference every day. And as we celebrate Women’s History Month, check out some of the contributions of a few of the women that make up an important part of tech history, here.

And a big thank you to all the women who call T5 Data Centers their workplace home!
