Vice President, Business Development

The Vice President, Business Development has primary responsibility for market leadership and directed marketing efforts to lease T5@Dallas facilities, as well as general sales and marketing of T5’s national portfolio of data centers within the greater Dallas metroplex. In addition, this position is responsible for supporting T5’s broader sales and marketing efforts as necessary to support the overall sales team mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of the marketing and lead generation process, including sourcing of transactions, setting up meetings and tours, and participation in presentations and proposal creation
  • Facilitate customer conversations to define needs and work with internal technical personnel to strategize, develop, and communicate solution options
  • Track and manage metrics related to sales efforts to further focus T5’s marketing and leasing efforts
  • Own / maintain all aspects of marketing “tool kit” for T5@Dallas inclusive of competitive landscape inventory, completed market transactions tracking, and all marketing materials. Develop marketing messaging and materials specific to target market
  • Advance sales team skills and success, including providing ideas on process improvement. Mentor team members where applicable
  • Professionally represent T5 through phone and email communications, personal meetings, business forums, trade shows, and other means
  • Assist in contract negotiations and / or coordinating “behind the scenes” as required to support sales team efforts
  • Produce and manage a sales pipeline with direct and partner channels, including prospecting, introduction of T5, presentations, and Project potential revenue on a forward looking basis
  • Develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base
  • Complete other such duties, including special projects, consistent with your position and in support of T5 operations, and sales and marketing

  • Interact professionally with all levels of the organization and external customers and vendors
  • Manage changing needs and priorities accurately and professionally
  • Work independently with limited direction
  • Someone who is consistently at work on time, and who completes assignments on time
  • An energetic self-starter with a “can-do / whatever it takes” attitude who can perform under pressure, work successfully on tight deadlines, and identify and resolve problems as they arise
  • Experienced professional with high degree of attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • Someone who is comfortable with ambiguity and can juggle many competing priorities at once
  • Someone who is resourceful, conscientious, and takes personal pride in their work

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, required
  • Minimum 7-years’ experience in sales, required
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com experience
